  • Walking the Dog

    November 7th, 2011

So it’s only 29 degrees and a light dusting of snow on the foothills—Mount Baker towering above the Cascades also bright with a new snow. The dog has to be walked and we need a change from the same old path we take six days of the week. So, we get in the car at 7:15 in the morning and drive merely 35 minutes west to Bowman Bay where the tide is slightly out, the water calm and quite. It’s quiet and we are all alone walking the sandy, rocky beach and frost glowing on the driftwood. We are alone with the exception of a few seagulls—quietly enjoying the sunrise. Yeah, this is a crisp fall morning in the Northwest.
