On the sailboat bow I lie.

Watching seagulls throw back useless bones.

In rhythm, I hear the changing tide.

    Warning buoys bleating ominous tones.

Catching the setting sun in the corner of my eye.

Watching seagulls throw back useless bones.

    Playful porpoises swiftly glide,

drifting away from shore floats a reed.

Catching the setting sun in the corner of my eye.

    Glowing a vermilion sky bleeds.

Gentle waves tickle the hull, music of the sea.

Drifting away from shore floats a reed.

    Open water spiritually freeing.

Warm evening air wafting salty scents.

Gentle waves tickle the hull, music of the sea.

Countless days and nights are spent,

engulfed within warm evening air, wafting salty scents.

On the sailboat bow I lie.

In rhythm, I hear the changing tide.
